These cables are used for temperature measurement by connecting the Thermocouple to the measuring equipment. Thermocouple Compensating Cables use the same alloy of the thermocouple while Compensating Cables use different alloy for providing positive & negative cores to match the components of those in thermocouple elements. Thermocouple elements have a matched thermal e.m.f output in the restricted temperature range.
