Pt100 is a sensor used to measure temperature. It is one type of sensor which falls into a group called Resistance Temperature Detectors or RTD's.

Pt100 sensors are the most common type of platinum resistance thermometer. Often resistance thermometers are generally called Pt100 sensors, even though in reality they may not be the Pt100 type. Pt refers to that the sensor is made from Platinum (Pt). 100 refers to that at 0°C sensor has a resistance of 100 ohms (Ω).

Our Acid and Alkali RTD sensors are specially designed to withstand corrosive environments. The various options available to our customers include non-reactive teflon coating, corrosion resistant titanium sheaths, flexible cables and protective teflon sleeves amongst others, which allow for complex installations. All our sensors are 3-wire Pt100 element in duplex or simplex assembly, built to measure temperatures upto 200°C.
